Starting the day with a high protein breakfast is one of the more simple ways in which we can start the day right and keep our good health on track.
Mornings are often busy, and simple, convenience food is favoured, hence why cereals and toast are often a staple of our morning diets.
The slight problem is that cereals and toast (bread) are often highly processed and low in nutritional value. These foods are satisfying in the short term but will soon lead to us feeling hungry again.
If we can shift away from these foods and towards high protein, whole foods such as eggs or natural yoghurt we will see and feel various health benefits.
The fact that protein keeps us fuller for longer means that we can enjoy more stable and often better energy levels throughout the morning, leading to more productivity both at home or at work.
A simple example of what we can do is; boiling a load of eggs and then keeping them in the fridge so we can grab a few each morning, maintaining the convenience but adding better nutrition.
2 or 3 boiled eggs and small portion of fruit, plus some coffee and water could be the best breakfast you have.
Give it a try and see how you feel.
